The Federal Ministry of Education through the Federal Scholarship Board awards scholarship to Higher National Diploma students with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.00 and above.


The following standardized uniform grading system is utilized in the selection of qualified students who are to benefit from the Federal Government Scholarship Scheme.

Furthermore, students who excel in their various disciplines are awarded prizes and honoured at the Institution’s Convocation ceremonies.


As a Diploma Awarding Institution, the Polytechnic recognizes the part played by some members of the Public towards the development of education, research and technology. Honour is given to deserving members of the community with the Fellowship of the Lagos State Polytechnic (FLSP).

Presently the Polytechnic has twenty-four Fellows who have assisted with the provision of funds, facilities and connections for the continuous growth of the Polytechnic. Progress is on to confer the Fellowship of the Lagos State Polytechnic on other eminent personalities.
